KPV is a synthetic tripeptide derived from alpha–melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), studied for its strong anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties. Research suggests it may support mucosal healing in inflammatory bowel disease, reduce infection risk, speed tissue repair, and minimize scarring after injury or surgery.
